It is no secret that Baidu believes in high-quality links.
The pomegranate update has happened. Now, Chinese search engine Baidu favors high-quality backlinks from Chinese websites.
Overall, the value of link equity depends on these 5 following factors:
1 - Links on a page and their location
If your link is in the first 100 words of the body text, it's widely believed you’ll get more link benefits. This is than if a link is at the bottom of a page or in the sidebar.
2 - Dofollow Vs. Nofollow Backlinks
As of 2011, Baidu fully supports "nofollow" attributes.
Here is what a nofollow link looks like:
<a href="destination link" rel="nofollow">Anchor Text</a>
Nofollow links tell Baidu that this link should not pass value. Despite their unhelpful SEO influence, they actually help generate traffic to your website.
3 - Domain Authority and Page Authority
DA (Domain Authority) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz.
DA is a metric that defines how well a website ranks in search engine results. The scores are calculated from 1 to 100. The benchmark average is 25 and 100 has the greatest ranking ability.
The Page Authority of a webpage refers to the authority of a specific page on the site.
Sometimes, the PA is higher than the DA, which means the content was well-written for SEO and the readers.
4 - Relevant Sites and Pages
Relevancy matters.
Let's say you are a fitness trainer, you found two Chinese fitness equipment websites for backlinks. .
Typically, links from unrelated Chinese sites won't hurt your website unless they are spam.
5 - Anchor Text
If the site that links to your website uses anchor text that is closely related to the content on that page, Baidu will assume the link is more useful to users and, therefore, assigns it more value.
A study by Amazon Web Services found that 88 percent of online shoppers. They are less likely to return to a site after a bad experience.

"SEO" may suggest it's all about search engines. But, the goal is to improve the experience for users who seek information online.
So, "search experience optimization" might be a more accurate term.
Think about it!
My favorite restaurant is Sorrentino's in Edmonton. They have done an excellent job with their website. It provides all necessary information in a straightforward manner, and loads very fast.
Regardless of whether one is in Canada or Shanghai, people share the same basic needs:
Keyword Research For China SEO
Whether your customer is Chinese or German, the keyword principle is the same for everyone. Your job is to know what long-tail keywords your potential customers use to find you in the search.
With successful keyword research and add keywords to your website, you will attract relevant traffic, easily converting visitors into a customer.
Use Social Media for Customer Service
Having a verified Chinese Social Media page - Dianping.com is critical. Direct customers to leave their reviews.
Set up weekly contest. For example, encourage customers to upload their food photo to Wechat, Dianping and Weibao.
Also participate both Chinese and Western festivals in your restaurant.
On-page SEO
On-page SEO is the practice of optimizing individual web pages in order to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic in search engines. For more details, you can read my Baidu SEO Guide.
